Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 13 June 2025  |  Effective date: 13 June 2025

Please read these terms carefully before using our website or engaging our services. By using this website or instructing Moradok Law, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Definitions

In these terms:

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using this website, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you are acting on behalf of a company or organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.

Use of this website for informational purposes does not constitute an engagement of our services. A formal engagement requires a written agreement signed by both parties.

3. Website Use

This website is provided for general information purposes only. Content on this website does not constitute legal advice and should not be relied upon as such. Laws change and individual circumstances vary — please contact us directly for advice relevant to your situation.

You agree not to use this website for any unlawful purpose or in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair its operation.

4. Legal Services

Moradok Law provides the following services relating to inheritance and estate matters in Thailand:

All services are subject to a written engagement letter that sets out the specific scope, fees, and terms applicable to each matter. No legal work will commence until that agreement is in place.

5. Enquiries

Submitting an enquiry through our website does not create a lawyer-client relationship. We will review your enquiry and respond to let you know whether we are able to assist. A relationship is only established upon a signed engagement letter.

6. Fees and Payment

Our fees are set out in writing before any engagement begins. Payment terms are as specified in the engagement letter for each matter. Unless otherwise agreed:

We do not begin work until payment arrangements are confirmed. If your circumstances change, please contact us promptly to discuss.

7. Cancellation and Refunds

If you wish to withdraw an instruction after an engagement has begun, please notify us in writing. Fees for work already completed are payable. We will provide an itemised account of work done to that point. Unused retainer amounts, where applicable, will be returned within 14 days.

8. Confidentiality

All information you provide in connection with an enquiry or a legal matter is treated as confidential. We will not disclose it to any third party without your consent, except where required to do so by law or professional obligation, or where necessary to advance your matter (for example, court filings).

Legal professional privilege attaches to confidential communications between you and Moradok Law in the context of legal advice or anticipated proceedings.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, structure, and design — is the property of Moradok Law or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or adapt any part of it without our written consent, except for personal, non-commercial use.

10. Disclaimer

The content of this website is provided on an "as is" basis. While we take care to keep it accurate, we do not warrant that it is free of errors or that it reflects the most current state of the law. We are not liable for decisions taken in reliance on website content alone.

Legal outcomes depend on many factors specific to individual circumstances. We do not promise particular results from any engagement.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Thai law, our liability to you arising from any engagement is limited to the fees paid for that specific matter. We are not liable for indirect losses, consequential damages, or losses beyond our reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Termination

Either party may terminate an engagement by giving reasonable written notice. We reserve the right to cease acting in circumstances where professional rules require or permit us to do so (for example, where a conflict of interest arises or instructions cannot be followed). We will give you as much notice as practicable and assist with the orderly transfer of your matter where we are able.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. The parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bangkok.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page. Continued use of our website following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Existing engagement letters are not affected by changes to these website terms.
